Craig Vrankovich is the Founder and Creative Director of Highbeam Studios, a leading 3D medical animation studio specialising in healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotech visualisation.
His passion for 3D animation began in the early 2000s, inspired by the emergence of stop-motion and computer-generated films. Combining a love for storytelling and technology, he taught himself core 3D animation techniques and built the foundation for his creative career.
In 2004, Craig gained early recognition after winning a 3D animation competition in Auckland, New Zealand—an achievement that cemented his direction and led to the vision for Highbeam Studios.
Today, he leads a team producing high-impact medical animations, including mechanism of action (MOA) animations, medical device visualisations, and scientific explainer videos that help global healthcare clients simplify complex science and communicate with clarity.
In 2005, Craig Vrankovich took on a full-time role as a 3D medical animator in Sydney, Australia—an opportunity that fully immersed him in medical animation and established his career in healthcare visual storytelling.
Over the following decade, he developed expertise in medical illustration, mechanism of action (MOA) animation, and 3D scientific visualisation, working with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and medical device manufacturers.
In 2015, he founded Highbeam Studios, an independent medical animation company focused on producing high-impact 3D content for global clients. Since then, the studio has delivered medical animations, VR applications, and scientific explainer videos for education, healthcare marketing, product launches, patient communication, and MOA storytelling.
Today, Highbeam Studios continues to create scientifically accurate, visually engaging content that simplifies complex ideas and connects audiences across the medical and scientific sectors.
